KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Saltdogs (3-3) got quality starting pitching and whacked three more home runs in a 5-4 win over the Kansas City T-Bones (2-4) in front of 3,554 fans at CommunityAmerica Ballpark Tuesday night.
 
Daniel Carroll led off the game with a solo home run, his second long ball in as many nights. The T-Bones tied the game with a run in the last of the fourth but the 'Dogs quickly rebuilt the lead with two in the fifth and two more in the sixth.
 
Joe Bisenius (1-0) pitched six-plus terrific innings, allowing two runs on five hits, while striking out seven and walking one to earn the victory. Shaun Garceau (0-2) surrendered five runs in seven innings to absorb the loss.
 
R.J. Rodriguez allowed two solo home runs in the bottom of the ninth but hung on for his second save of the season.
 
Conor Spink and P.J. Zocchi combined for two scoreless innings of middle relief.
 
Ian Gac also homered for the second consecutive night, and now has three home runs and 11 RBI on the year. Dennis Raben went yard as well, his fourth of the budding campaign.
 
The clubs will square off in the rubber match Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. Pete Parise (1-0, 1.80) will take on Aaron Meade (1-0, 0.00). Radio coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
