LINCOLN — The Saltdogs (34-24) scored seven times in the seventh inning to come back and beat the Kansas City T-Bones (26-33) 11-7 in front of 3,138 fans at Haymarket Park Thursday night.
After falling behind 4-0 in the second, the first-place Saltdogs rallied for 11 of the game’s next 13 runs to win for the 16th time in 20 games.
Luis Alen belted an 0-0 curve ball to deep left center, plating two runs to provide Lincoln its first lead of the night, 7-6 in the seventh.
Four batters later Jon Smith swatted a three-run double as the Saltdogs plated their seventh seventh-inning run, all using just one out.
Robby Kuzdale set the table by going 2-for-3 with two runs, a steal, two RBI and three walks.
Alen and Dainer Moreira also had two hits a piece.
Stephen Shackleford (3-2) pitched 2/3 of an inning scoreless to get the win in relief.
The Saltdogs are now a season-high 10 games above .500, have already matched 2015’s win total, and lead Gary by four games in the loss column.
