MOORHEAD, MN — The Lincoln Saltdogs will be seeing a familiar face a little more frequently in the 2019 season.
The American Association recently announced the new divisions for the 2019 season. The alignment stays mostly the same but accounts for the subtraction of the Wichita Wingnuts and the addition of the Milwaukee Milkmen. The league’s newest team will play in the North Division, pushing the Sioux Falls Canaries to the South Division.
The Canaries have been in the same league as the Saltdogs since the Lincoln franchise was born. The Saltdogs have enjoyed success against the Birds, owning a 111-94 all-time record against the team. Lincoln and Sioux Falls split the six games the teams played in 2018.
North Division:
Chicago Dogs
Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks
Gary SouthShore RailCats
Milwaukee Milkmen
St. Paul Saints
Winnipeg Goldeyes
South Division:
Cleburne Railroaders
Kansas City T-Bones
Lincoln Saltdogs
Sioux City Explorers
Sioux Falls Canaries
Texas AirHogs
2018 was the 18th season of Saltdogs baseball in Lincoln. For more information on the Saltdogs, follow the team on Facebook and Twitter/Instagram @saltdogsball.
