LINCOLN, NE – The Lincoln Saltdogs announced their promotions schedule for the 2018 season today.
Each day of the week will have its own promotion. New in 2018 is the $10 Triple Play Deal sponsored by Colonial Life. Get a Lower Reserved ticket, hot dog and soda for just $10 at every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday Saltdogs home game all season long.
The premier promotion early in the season is on Opening Night, Thursday, May 17th. Nebraska Head Football Coach Scott Frost will throw out the ceremonial first pitch while the first 1,500 fans through the gates will receive Frost Saltdogs jerseys.
“This season is full of new events and new faces,” Saltdogs Director of Promotions Alex Hanus said. “We are excited to offer a variety of different promotions so all fans can have a special experience at Haymarket Park!”
Another major promotion is Jimmy Buffett Night, Saturday, June 30th. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Jimmy Buffett cap and fans can stay after the game for a special performance by the top Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band: Tom Watt & the Fruitcakes!
Later in the season, fans will be treated to a celebrity double header! Local media personalities will compete in the Lincoln Media Softball Challenge before the Saltdogs game vs. Sioux Falls. The weekend of August 4-6 is also Military Appreciation Weekend. Friday will feature a salute to the military, the first 1,500 fans on Saturday will receive a military baseball sponsored by Crete Carrier and all members of the military will get in for free all weekend.
Balls will be flying out of the park on Sunday, August 12th as Lincoln Police Department and Lincoln Fire and Rescue workers will participate in a postgame Home Run Derby!
The popular Bark in the Park promotion returns in 2018 but just for one game. Sunday, August 26th is Mascot Mania as Homer celebrate’s his 18th birthday. Bark in the Park night is part of the “Year of the Dog” celebration which includes Wachal Wiener Dog races. The 26th is also Saltdogs baseball card giveaway day and features a postgame player autograph session.
The other daily promotions include Buck Nights on Wednesdays, which mean $1 Fairbury Brand Hot Dogs, $1 Colby Ridge Popcorn, $1 Pepsi fountain drinks and $2 select 16oz tall boy beers. Plus, get $2 12 oz. domestic draws and $3 12 oz. craft draws throughout the game.
New in 2018 is Tacos and Tall Boys Thursdays! Enjoy $2 tacos from our Salsa cart along with $2 off all Tall Boys.
Lincoln’s famous Fireworks Fridays sponsored by T-Mobile is back and better than ever this season! Fans will be entertained throughout the game and during the Post-Game Fireworks Show with special musical tributes.
Goodcents Grand Salami Saturday returns in 2018. Fans can register at any of Lincoln’s five Goodcents locations for a chance to win $50,000! Fans will also get varying levels of deals depending on the number of runs scored by the Saltdogs.
Enjoy our “Sunday Fun Day” games with an earlier start time of 1:05pm this season, with fun activities and special events for all ages!
