Long begins his third season of professional baseball, and his first with the Lincoln Saltdogs, in 2026.  A right-handed relief pitcher, Long comes to Lincoln after spending 2025 with the Modesto Nuts.

2025:   Long pitched for the Modesto Nuts, in the California League (A- SEA).  In one appearance he was 0-0, with a 40.50 ERA, pitching 0.2 innings and striking out one.

2024:   He concluded his collegiate career with the Arizona Wildcats.  In 12 games, Long went 1-1, with a 5.27 ERA, pitching 13.2 innings.  During the summer, he pitched for the Fredrick Keys, in the MLB Draft League.  In eight games, Long recorded two saves while going 0-0, with a 2.93 ERA.  In 15.1 innings, he struck out 19 batters.  Long appeared in nine games for Modesto, going 1-0, with a 1.08 ERA, with one save, while pitching 8.1 innings.

2023:   In his junior season, Long went 2-5, with a 6.07 ERA, for Arizona.  In 30 appearances, he recorded five saves, while throwing 38.2 innings.

2022:   Long went 6-3, with a 3.68 ERA, in his sophomore season for the Wildcats.  He appeared in 31 games and notched seven saves, while working 36.2 innings.

2021:   Began his freshman season for Arizona and went 2-0, with a 10.66 ERA.  In six games, he pitched 12.2 innings.
